Kevin Hopkins Reagan Environmental Policy AdvisorKevin Hopkins was the primary energy and environmental policy staff advisor for the successful 1980 Reagan for President campaign, and subsequently served in The White House as Special Assistant to the President for Policy Development, staff director for the President’s Cabinet Council on Economic Affairs, and Director of the White House Office of Policy Information. Mr. Hopkins was appointed senior communications and policy counsel to the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy, where his portfolio included alternative energy development, energy efficiency, and environmental protection.

For the past 19 years, he has been a senior contributing editor to Business Week magazine and has written widely on economic, energy, and environmental issues. He also was a senior policy advisor to the Mayor of San Diego, at the time America’s sixth largest city, where he focused on economic, energy, and environmental matters, and he was senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, a world-renowned public policy research center.

Michelle Lynn Energy Executive
Michelle Lynn is a veteran energy executive with more than 30 years’ in all aspects of corporate communications, policy and legislative analysis, and business counseling. Most significantly, she served for 17 years as a senior executive in a variety of key positions for Pacific Enterprises/Southern California Gas Company (now Sempra Energy) in Los Angeles, Calif.-one of the nations’s largest and most progressive, customer-focused energy utilities. Among other posts , she was the company’s first electronic publications initiative for its 10,000-plus employees.

Ms. Lynn was responsible for communicating and promoting the company’s extensive, consumer-oriented energy-efficiency programs-initiatives that assisted both homeowners and business owners in identifying energy-saving opportunities and implementing green-technology and green living solutions. She also worked closely with the company’s energy-saving appliance efforts and its alternative-energy programs. And as the firm’s broadcast relations supervisor, she led numerous company-wide communications initiatives focused primarily on customer service and new energy technologies.

Previously, Ms. Lynn served as assignment editor and news writer for KNX-CBS News Radio in Los Angeles, Calf., the leading all-news radio station in the Western United States. She is currently the Editorial Director and Managing Editor for AnalysisOnline, a leading public policy web site that covers economic, energy, and environmental issues.

James McGinley is a green entrepreneur, professional speaker, and green sustainability consultant. His current clients include the Eco Institution, Los Angeles Department of the Environment and One Earth/Green Earth. Mr. McGinley holds a degree in Ecological Design Engineering from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design Sustainable Design Program. Resides in the U.S.

 

Megan Riley is an environmental attorney that works as a part-time tutor for the Eco Institution. She specializes in Government tax credits and other incentives that are available to reduce the cost of energy- and water-saving installations and related home and workplace improvements. She and her daughter reside in Colorado.

 

Jane Forsythe, Instructor for the Eco Institution, Certified Renovations Contractor , Certified Home Energy Rater. Green Interior Design Corporate Consultant – Sustainable Workplace Initiatives, London School of Economics, BIS International Studies, La Sorbonne, Paris, France, Intelligent Interior Design. Jane resides in the U.K.

 

Fiona Lennon, Founder of the environmental group Green Home Power and a tutor for the Eco Institution, she has decided to help others learn how to be eco consultants so they can be a force in their community for green living. Fiona has worked in curriculum development for the Eco Institution and created modules covering the aspect of inspecting residential properties and small-business workplaces in order to recommend changes that can be made to internal appliances and fixtures that will significantly reduce energy and water consumption and most importantly save money. Fiona lives just outside of London.

 

Alexis Patterson, Green Living Expert As green advice columnist for numerous institutions and publications worldwide including the Eco Institution she offers up everyday green living tips as well as explores matters of environmental ethics and policy. She credits her consuming passion for the environment and health to her mum who taught Alexis and her sister about organic eating and green living as small children growing up in Australia. Alexis resides in Australia and the UK.

 

Claire Walker, Environmental Marketer and tutor for the Eco Institution. Claire’s role is to teach the importance of environmentally sound marketing skills as they relate to all phases of green living and business. Claire focuses on nurturing the marketing skills of green consultants by teaching them to develop a compelling message and to reach out to local media by writing effective press releases and by teaching green consultants to create cost effective advertising campaigns in their area. Claire has a vast knowledge in the world of environmental marketing worldwide and travels widely

 

David Robinson, Green Mentor and tutor for the Eco Institution. David has a long and varied career as a green activist having provided expert career green coaching and advice. David’s role is to tutor students on the many reasons to become an Eco-Consultant in Your Community. David is a strong advocate of the booming Green Economy and instills a fervor in students to become part of the growing Green Economy! He tutors students on obtaining skills that will be in demand for the foreseeable future and to continue taking classes at the Eco Institution that will enable you to keep those skills sharp. Hayden Norris is master environmental scientist, and greening expert Hayden Norris spreads the good news about green living and organic eating. Hayden produces video segments and writes greening articles for public television worldwide. He also serves on numerous boards and as a full time tutor for the Eco Institution. Hayden resides in New Zealand.

 

David Howard is an energy expert who currently heads up development for a leading Canadian environmental agency covering the whole of Canada. He is a part-time instructor for the Eco Institution and has a passion for environmental technology has it relates to green living.
